The Unity Club Intwararumuri has announced that its 18th forum will focus on the overarching goal of fostering constructive dialogue that reinforces Rwandan unity.
This forum is scheduled to take place on November 8, 2025, and is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement (MINUBUMWE).
In a press release, the organization stated that the 18th forum will revolve around the theme: “I Am Rwandan: A Core Concept of Our Existence.”
Unity Club Intwararumuri emphasized that this theme, to be discussed for the seventh time, has become a familiar concept aimed at encouraging all Rwandans, both young and old, to recognize that being “I Am Rwandan” is not merely a slogan but should embody the daily life, mindset, behavior, and interactions of every Rwandan.
During this forum, MINUBUMWE will present the National Unity Barometer 2025, which measures the level of Rwandan unity.
It is planned that on November 7, 2025, the 18th Forum will be preceded by a General Assembly and Retreat for Unity Club members, where they will assess the progress made in promoting unity and non-discrimination among Rwandans, as well as the role of members in affirming and safeguarding the achievements made. Additionally, 20 new members of the Unity Club will be welcomed.
On November 8, 2025, a broader forum will unite Unity Club members, local leaders, civil society representatives, entrepreneurs, faith leaders, youth, and guardians of national values.
Founded by First Lady Jeannette Kagame on February 28, 1996, the Unity Club Intwararumuri consists of members from the government, former leaders, and their spouses, currently boasting 349 members.
The organization was established to contribute to the promotion of the culture of unity and peace, which are foundational pillars of sustainable development.
It plays a significant role in fostering unity and reconciliation while also caring for the welfare of survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Unity Club has focused its efforts on supporting orphans and encouraging families to adopt children, as well as providing housing for the elderly.
The Unity Club is committed to maintaining dialogue among its members to guide the nation, continuing to combat genocide ideology, and assisting vulnerable groups, including youth and parents.
