With her bride price of one million five hundred thousand francs(1,500,000Frw) and some wages, Dusabimana Marie Claire together with her husband started an ‘Alimentation’ business in Kanombe Samuduha.
The alimentation/supermarket named CV; C for ‘Claire’ and V for ‘Vernus’, was started in 2018 after the couple discovered that there was need for such services in the area.
CV general supermarket deals in food stuffs, drinks, toiletries, among other things.
During our conversation, Claire said that the alimentation business is going on well for her reason she has been doing it for this long.
“We started off as a small shop and with very few things, now it is a whole supermarket and am proud“. She however says that there are challenges as well.
“Prices of commodities have now increased a lot so customers don’t buy like they used to hence most products end up expiring from the shelves“, she notes.
Additionally, Claire says that there are some customers they trust and sell things to on debt only to find out after a while that the customers moved to other locations without paying them.
Nevertheless, Claire is determined to see her business grow bigger and better than it is so regardless any challenges, she’s not giving up.
