Rwandan center-back Saleh Ishimwe has secured his first trophy with South Sudanese side El Merriekh FC-Bentiu, following their dramatic victory in the 2025 South Sudan Super Cup.
El Merriekh triumphed 4-3 in a penalty shootout against Jamus SC after a goalless draw in regular time.
The win marks a significant milestone for both the club and Ishimwe, who joined the team in July as a free agent.
The 25-year-old former AS Kigali defender played a pivotal role in the victory, showcasing his defensive prowess throughout the match.
