RPL: AS Kigali draws with Police FC

AS Kigali played a strong and disciplined game but ended in a 0-0 draw against Police FC in the match preceding the seventh round of the Rwanda Premier League. The match took place at Kigali Pele Stadium on Friday, November 7, 2025, and was attended by a small crowd.

Police FC entered the game without Byiringiro Lague, who was suspended for misconduct, and Emmanuel Okwi, who was injured. In the first half, Police FC dominated the attack, but Ani Elijah and Kirongozi Richard failed to capitalize on their chances. In the 43rd minute, Christian Ishimwe attempted a shot into the goal from a cross, with Ani Elijah alone to finish, but AS Kigali’s defense managed to block it. The first half ended goalless.

In the second half, both teams continued to attack aggressively, but no goals were scored. In the 60th minute, Police FC had another chance to score from a well-placed pass by Christian Ishimwe, but Gakwaya Leonard’s shot went over the bar. In the 71st minute, Christian Ishimwe made another setup in front of the goal, but Kirongozi missed the chance. During the final ten minutes, Police FC pressed hard on the attack, yet they could not find the net.

The match ended 0-0. Police FC remained at the top of the provisional standings with 17 points, while AS Kigali stayed in 12th place with 5 points.
