Rayon Sports has officially ended its partnership with head coach Afahmia Lotfi, marking the end of his tenure just a month after he was suspended for poor performance.
On October 13, 2025, the club announced the suspension of Lotfi and his second assistant, Azouz Lotfi, following a series of disappointing results.
Club president Twagirayezu Thadee confirmed the termination, stating, “The coach is no longer with us. We are finalizing the paperwork to officially terminate his contract in accordance with its terms.”
Lotfi joined Rayon Sports in late May 2025 on a one-year deal after previously managing Mukura Victory Sports for three years.
Currently, the team is under the leadership of interim coach Haruna Ferouz, who previously served as Lotfi’s assistant. Under his guidance, Rayon Sports sits in second place with 13 points after seven rounds in the Rwanda Premier League.
