Police FC falls to AZAM FC in Inkera y’Abahizi tournament

Rwandan Premier League club, Police FC, was beaten 4-3 by Tanzanian club Azam FC in penalties after a 1-1 draw at the Kigali Pele Stadium.

The match was highly competitive, with both teams evenly sharing possession. Police FC went ahead in the 20th minute when Kwitonda Alain scored after an excellent pass from Elijah Ani. Azam FC equalized in the 37th minute with a goal from striker Tepsie Evance, making the score 1-1.

Despite strong efforts from both sides, neither team could break the tie in the second half, leading to penalties where AZAM FC triumphed.

This loss marks Police FC’s fifth consecutive preseason defeat so far, having previously lost matches against Marine FC, Rutsiro FC, Intare FC, and APR FC.

The tournament continues this Thursday, with AZAM FC facing AS Kigali, and Police FC scheduled to play against APR FC.
