The Rwandan Ministry of Public Service and Labour, through Minister Amb. Christine Nkulikiyinka, has urged youth to seize opportunities to learn skills related to organizing conferences and similar gatherings. Starting in 2026, 100 million Frw will be allocated annually to support such training, provided by Cube Communications Rwanda.
The announcement was made on October 31, 2025, in Kigali during the celebration of Cube Communications’ 12th anniversary. The company, founded in Rwanda, has expanded to secure contracts in Africa and Asia, and plans to use this fund to train Rwandan professionals in conference management.
Specific details regarding the number of participants or course duration have not yet been released. Interested candidates will apply through Cube Communications’ website, after which a selection process will determine those eligible for support, including funding for both domestic and international training.
Amb. Nkulikiyinka highlighted that gaps in expertise have previously required the company to bring in foreign staff and equipment. She encouraged Rwandan youth to take advantage of this initiative to gain practical experience in managing conferences, events, and other professional gatherings.
Cube Communications officials noted that Rwanda’s growing capacity to host international events provides significant opportunities for employment and skills development. Founder Valentine Nashipae emphasized that the country’s strategic approach to event hosting has boosted the company’s growth and international credibility.
The program also encourages youth to focus on technical knowledge of conference equipment and emerging technologies such as AI, which are increasingly relevant in the field.
