Nile Conference heats up at BAL5: APR BBC falls to Al Ahly Tripoli, Made Ballers get first win

Al Ahly Tripoli of Libya has officially secured their spot in the BAL5 Playoffs, set to take place in Pretoria, South Africa, after a dominant start to their campaign. With three wins in three games, they currently sit at the top of the standings and have proven themselves as serious title contenders.

APR BBC, Rwanda’s champions and the home favorites, faced a tough start to their campaign, falling to Al Ahly Tripoli of Libya with a final score of 68-90. The Rwandan side struggled to match Tripoli’s offensive rhythm and physical play throughout the four quarters.

APR BBC, meanwhile, struggled to find their rhythm early in the game, especially with the absence of star center Aliou Diarra, who sat out due to an injury picked up in a previous game. His presence was missed on both ends of the floor, especially in the paint.

However, there was no stopping Jean Jacques Boissy, who once again stepped up for APR with a standout performance 27 points, 4 assists, and an efficiency rating of 24. The Senegalese guard continues to shine as one of the top performers of the tournament so far.
