Haruna Niyonzima recognized by FIFA after 100 national team appearances

Rwandan midfielder Haruna Niyonzima has been officially recognized by FIFA for reaching a major milestone: playing 100 or more matches for his national team.

The announcement was made on Thursday, October 30, 2025, as FIFA released its latest list of players who have achieved this remarkable feat. The list includes both active players and retirees who have represented their countries at least 100 times.

Niyonzima joins an elite group of footballers, celebrated for their dedication and longevity at the international level. Leading the list is Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who has amassed 225 appearances for Portugal.
