Football legends Okocha and Domi arrive in Kigali for Visit Rwanda campaign

Football legends Jay-Jay Okocha from Nigeria and Didier Arsène Marcel Domi from France arrived in Rwanda this Sunday as part of the “Visit Rwanda” initiative, a campaign aimed at promoting Rwanda’s tourism on the global stage.

The two stars, both former players for French football giant Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), are visiting Rwanda under the long-standing partnership between the country and PSG. This collaboration is a key component of the broader “Visit Rwanda” campaign, which seeks to showcase Rwanda’s beauty, culture, and tourism potential through strategic alliances with top international football clubs such as PSG and Arsenal.

Okocha and Domi are expected to tour iconic Rwandan destinations, including the Volcanoes National Park, explore scenic mountain trails, and immerse themselves in Rwanda’s unique art, culture, and heritage. Their visit is strategically intended to attract more global tourists and further highlight Rwanda as a premium travel destination.

Today, Okocha and Domi visited the PSG Academy Rwanda, where they engaged with young Rwandan talents, shared invaluable professional experiences, and offered encouragement to the next generation of footballers. This interaction was part of broader efforts to support youth development and inspire young players to pursue their dreams through sports.
