Amb. Gashumba thanks Element for “bringing warmth” to Rwandans during Sweden winter show

Rwanda’s Ambassador to Sweden, Diane Gashumba, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Rwandan artist Element EleéeH (Byibuza) for his performance in Stockholm, saying he brought a sense of home to the Rwandan community during the cold European winter.

Speaking at the event, Amb. Gashumba praised the artist for representing Rwanda with excellence. “Element, a Rwandan who made us proud, from the land of a thousand hills, your voice was heard, reminding us of the warmth of home, while in Stockholm, we are in the cold of November. You made us miss Rwanda,” she said.

The concert, which drew members of the Rwandan diaspora and other fans, also provided an opportunity for Element to meet Nigerian star Kizz Daniel, who was in attendance. According to sources close to the artist, Element has developed a strong admiration for Kizz Daniel’s artistry, and the two are expected to collaborate during one of Element’s eight scheduled concerts across Europe.

Element, who is currently based in Uganda, has been expanding his regional footprint. He recently performed at Ray G’s concert in Mbarara, where more than 30,000 people attended. His growing popularity is driven by hit songs such as Kashe, Fou de toi, Milele, Tombe, and Maaso.

Kizz Daniel, who previously held a performance in Kigali during the Giants of Africa Festival in August 2025, told fans then that he intended to return to Rwanda for another show, a promise that may align with his emerging collaboration with Element.

Element’s rising presence on regional and international stages continues to strengthen the visibility of Rwandan music and culture abroad.
