Volleyball: The championship has been moved to a new court

As the volleyball championship in Rwanda reaches the fourth match day, the games scheduled for this weekend have been moved to a new court located in Kigali City, at St. Famille.

After the third match day, which took place in Gisagara District, it had been planned that the volleyball events would return to Kigali for the fourth match day. According to the Rwanda Volleyball Federation, all the matches for this fourth match day have been moved to the new indoor sports court located at St. Famille.

Reports indicate that Petit Stade, which usually hosts volleyball games held in Kigali, is currently undergoing renovations in some of its sections, including the changing rooms. As a result, no games can be held there unless they are played without fans in attendance.

The St. Famille court was built through a partnership between St. Famille and the Rwanda Energy Group (REG), to provide REG’s basketball and volleyball teams with a facility for training and hosting matches whenever necessary.

One of the most anticipated fixtures set to take place in the new court will feature Police VC, who are looking to bounce back after their recent defeat to Gisagara VC, as they go head-to-head with REG VC. In the women’s division, EAUR will battle APR WVC in another exciting matchup.

All these games are scheduled to be played at the new venue on Friday evening and Saturday.
