Kenya’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Charles Muriu Kahariri, has arrived in Rwanda for an official working visit scheduled from November 4 to 7, 2025.
On Wednesday, Gen Kahariri visited Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence and the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Headquarters, where he was received by his Rwandan counterpart, Gen Mubarakh Muganga, along with the Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.
Discussions between the two sides focused on strengthening the existing military cooperation between Rwanda and Kenya, exploring new areas of partnership, and exchanging views on regional security matters.
During his visit, Gen Kahariri also toured the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where he learned about the history of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and paid his respects to the victims laid to rest there.
