Miss Mutesi Jolly Defends Her Privacy Amid Questions About Her Wealth

During The Silver Gala at BK Arena on Saturday evening, Miss Mutesi Jolly captured everyone’s attention with her stunning red-carpet look. However, the spotlight quickly shifted from her fashion to the ongoing public curiosity surrounding her wealth.

The former Miss Rwanda and Miss East Africa titleholder has become one of the most talked-about public figures in the country, especially after being seen in a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon 63), valued at nearly 437 million Rwandan francs.

Shortly afterward, rumors spread that she had completed a luxury mansion in one of Kigali’s high-end neighborhoods, reportedly worth more than 1.3 billion RWF. Some sources claim she bought the property for around 600 million and invested an additional 700 million RWF to finish it, meaning her recent investments could total over 1.7 billion RWF.

When asked by a journalist from InyaRwanda about how she earns her money, Miss Jolly responded sharply, making it clear that she does not feel obligated to explain her financial status to the public.

“Where it comes from is none of their business,” she said. “I haven’t even seen what they’re saying. It’s nonsense. Seriously, why should that concern anyone?”

Her remarks generated widespread discussion online, with some praising her confidence and right to privacy, while others hoped she would have shared more about her success to motivate young women.

In addition to her pageant titles, Jolly has built a reputation in fashion, tourism, and brand partnerships and now has over one million Instagram followers, a strong indicator of her influence.
