For the second time in Rwanda, the Silver Gala lights up Kigali tonight. The event, organized by internationally acclaimed choreographer and philanthropist Sherrie Silver, brings together high fashion, live performances, and philanthropy to celebrate Rwandan culture and empower youth.
The evening’s theme, Tropical Elegance, sets the stage for dazzling red carpet arrivals. Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi and Rwandan media personality Makeda Mahadeo welcome guests as the official hosts, while former Miss Rwanda Naomie Nishimwe hosts on the red carpet.
Rwandan music stars Massamba Intore, Knowless Butera, Ross Kana, and Chriss Eazy are among the performers, promising an exciting blend of tradition and modern sound. A fashion competition titled Best in Fashion Designer spotlights rising East African designers, while a silent auction supports the Sherrie Silver Foundation’s programs in education, dance, and creative arts for young people across Rwanda.
“This gala is more than glamour. It is about creating opportunities for the next generation of African talent,” Sherrie Silver said as she welcomed guests. “Every ticket, every bid contributes to a future where Rwandan youth can dream big and achieve bigger.”
Tonight, the Silver Gala is not just a celebration of culture and style. It is a statement of confidence in Rwanda’s growing creative industry. The second edition shows that the success of the first gala was only the beginning, as Kigali continues to rise as a hub for arts, talent, and youth empowerment in Africa.
