APR FC midfielder Yussif Dauda and defender Mamadou Sy have officially returned to the club’s training camp after submitting written apologies for misconduct that led to their suspension last month.
In early October, APR FC suspended the two players for “violating team instructions” and “showing disobedience to internal directives” during preparations for a continental competition in Egypt. The club cited indiscipline that “negatively affected team spirit and performance.” Management required both players to submit formal apologies before being considered for reinstatement.
After serving a 30-day suspension, Dauda and Sy wrote letters acknowledging their mistakes and pledging renewed discipline and commitment to the team. APR FC confirmed their return, stating that the club had accepted their apologies and allowed them back into full training after they demonstrated “genuine remorse and commitment to uphold the club’s values.”
The duo have since rejoined the squad at the club’s training facility, preparing for upcoming league and continental fixtures. Their return strengthens both the defensive and midfield lines, areas that were slightly weakened during their absence, and reinforces the club’s commitment to discipline, showing that accountability is expected regardless of a player’s talent or status.
Dauda, a Ghanaian midfielder who joined APR FC in 2022, has been a key figure thanks to his strength, ball control, and ability to create scoring opportunities. Mamadou Sy, a Senegalese defender, is known for his physical presence and leadership at the back, having played a crucial role in APR’s regional and CAF Champions League campaigns.
In a post on social media, APR FC commended the players for their maturity and courage, emphasizing that the club values discipline, teamwork, and unity as foundations for continued success. By accepting responsibility and seeking forgiveness, both Dauda and Sy have restored their standing within the team and set an example of accountability for their teammates.
