The Amavubi (Rwanda) former players once again showcased their prowess on the pitch, securing a decisive 5-0 victory over the Ugandan Cranes veterans in a friendly match held today at the Kigali Pele Stadium.

This dominant performance follows their last encounter in 2016, where Amavubi veterans also emerged victorious with a 5-2 scoreline. Today’s match reinforced their winning streak against their Ugandan counterparts.

The goals for Amavubi were netted by a strong lineup of former stars: Ngabo Albert, Lomami André Fils, Nshizirungu Hubert, Nyandwi Idrissa, and Muhawenimana Théoneste.

Beyond the score, the primary objective of this friendly game was to strengthen the relationship between Rwanda and Uganda. Both teams recognized football as a powerful tool to foster connections and enhance camaraderie between the two nations.
