This Friday, January 17, 2025, BK Arena will host the inaugural FERWABA Super Cup, an exciting event organized by the Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA).
The Super Cup tournament, introduced following the 2023 FERWABA General Assembly, is set to become an annual fixture. The tournament marks the start of the basketball season and features the top teams in Rwandan basketball. It pits the winners of the Rwanda Cup against the champions of the National Basketball League in a single-game showdown for both men and women.

Men’s Matchup: APR BBC vs. REG BBC
In the men’s category, APR BBC, the holders of both the Rwanda Cup and the league title, will face REG BBC, the runners-up of the Rwanda Cup. This clash promises to be an intense battle as the “Army Giants” aim to maintain their dominance, while REG BBC looks to secure a major victory.

Women’s Matchup: REG WBBC vs. APR WBBC
On the women’s side, REG WBBC, the reigning champions of the National Basketball League, will go head-to-head with APR WBBC, the Rwanda Cup title holders. REG WBBC secured their place in the Super Cup after a dominant performance in the league playoffs, where they convincingly swept their opponents.
