Eddy Kenzo not happy with fan, throws microphone and storms off stage

Popular Ugandan musician and BET Award winning Artiste Eddy Kenzo is making rounds in the news again, this time not for winning an international Award or being nominated for any but for the way he reacted towards one of the fans. While performing his hit song “Nsimbudde” in Fort portal, Uganda on 5, July, 2022, Eddy Kenzo who is on a country tour ahead of his “Road to Eddy Kenzo Festival” got showered with an unknown liquid by a naughty fan. In reaction, the angry artiste threw a microphone at him/her (as the gender is not yet known) and stormed off stage.

Eddy Kenzo is not the first Ugandan artiste to react this way towards a fan as the list has female singing divas Winnie Nwagi of the “Malaika” Hit song and Vinka of “Thank God” who almost went bare knuckles with their fans after they tried to sexually assault them during their performances.

In a phone interview with NBS TV station’s Unkut crew, singer Eddy Kenzo defended his actions by saying the fan was being disrespectful. “I don’t understand what’s wrong with some people, they know am a Muslim and I don’t take alcohol, why then do they pour alcohol on me? I don’t disrespect anyone, why should I be disrespected?” he said.

This is not the first time however that the “Sitya loss” hit maker displays his anger issues in public; the first time was in 2015 when he hit Monitor publications journalist Kasuku for allegedly defaming him during a press conference.
