The Royal Crown Hotel, located in Kimironko, Gasabo District, has introduced a new facial treatment specifically aimed at university students, particularly young women seeking affordable, professional skincare.
The service, launched in June 2025, comes shortly after the hotel’s official opening in May, which was presided over by His Excellency Khalid Musa Dafalla, the Sudanese Ambassador to Rwanda. The event marked not only the hotel’s entry into Kigali’s hospitality scene but also its commitment to wellness services tailored to the local community.

The hotel’s in-house salon is now offering the HydraGlow Pro facial treatment, a non-invasive session that combines deep cleansing, hydration, and LED therapy. The service is designed for quick results, with each session lasting approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
“You’ll notice visible improvements after just one treatment—hydration, clearer skin, and a refreshed texture,” said Maha Mohammed Abdluwahab, a licensed esthetician and the salon’s lead skincare specialist. “We’ve developed express sessions specifically for students who don’t have a lot of time or money to spend on long spa treatments.”

Students from nearby campuses, including Mount Kigali University, have shown early interest in the service. According to salon staff, many student clients are dealing with stress-related skin issues and are looking for affordable self-care solutions.
“I booked it before my graduation photoshoot and my skin glowed,” said Aline Uwase, a third-year university student. “It felt like more than just skincare, it gave me a real confidence boost.”
The salon is currently offering the treatment at a discounted rate for students upon presentation of a valid student ID. Appointments can be made directly at the hotel or via the salon’s Instagram page, @queenz.salon / @royalcrownrw. Services are available Monday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Royal Crown Hotel’s decision to invest in a youth-focused wellness offering reflects a wider shift in Kigali’s hospitality industry—one that now recognizes students as a key demographic not only for accommodation but also for health, beauty, and lifestyle services.
