Inside the pitch where Tennis is played.

Our young journalist Aline paid a visit at IPRC Kicukiro at a place where many games are held here in Kigali, there are many games and sport but basically she interviewed about tennis. Tennis is a similarly to volleyball but differ in playing. Tennis is a sport that involves two or four players hitting a ball back and forth across a net using rackets.

It’s objective is to score points by making the ball land in the opponent’s side of the court without them being able to return it. It’s a fast-paced and strategic game that requires agility, skill, and quick thinking. Tennis can be played on various surfaces such as grass, clay, or hard courts, and it’s enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels.

Tennis and volleyball are both exciting sports, but they have some key differences. In tennis, players use rackets to hit a ball over a net, aiming to make it land within the opponent’s side of the court. Volleyball, on the other hand, is played with teams of six players who use their hands to hit a ball over a net, trying to score points by making it touch the ground on the opponent’s side.

We had a Chance to talk to Coach Eric at Iprc he was  asked when does people know that they scored in tennis and he replied. “In tennis, players know they have scored when their opponent fails to return the ball within the boundaries of the court. This can happen if the ball goes out of bounds, bounces twice before being returned, or if the opponent fails to make a successful return. When a player scores a point, it is called a winning point or a point won. So, keep an eye on that ball and celebrate each winning point”.
