Benjamin Geza Affleck known in the movie as ‘Ben Affleck’ is set to release a movie portraying the history of the production of ‘Air Jordan’ shoes.
Titled ‘Air’, the movie is directed by Affleck and written by Alex Convery; it tells the story of Nike’s pursuit to sign Michael Jordan and rescue the shoe and apparel company’s fledging basketball division.
In an interview, Affleck revealed that in order to make the movie interesting, Michael Jordan will be among the cast.
“I had the opportunity to sit down with Michael Jordan and ask him what he considered important; and he really had things that mattered, I wouldn’t have made this film without him”, he stated.
One of Michael’s requests was that among the cast, Viola Davis (known for her role in; ‘The woman King’, ‘The suicide squad’) be included to play ‘Jordan’s mother’.
Other casters include; Matt Damon as Sonny Vaccaro, Chris Tucker as Howard White, Marlon Wayans as George Raveling and Ben Affleck as Phil Knight.
The movie is set to premier on 5th, April, 2023 in more than 3000 movie theaters across the USA before it will be available for streaming on ‘prime video’ in over 240 countries.
