MKUR selected among the institutions whose youth will participate in this year’s Youth Connekt Africa Summit

In a letter sent to the school (Mount Kigali University) administration on 13/09/2022 by The Ministry of Youth and Culture in the Republic of Rwanda together with Youth Connekt Africa, the institution was requested to nominate representatives to participate in the fifth edition of the “Youth Connekt Africa Summit”.

The Summit due to take place between 13th to 15th October 2022 will be held at BK Arena and Intare Conference Arena respectively under the theme “Accelerating Investments in Youth”: Resilient Youth, Resilient Africa.

Over 10,000 participants in Kigali including Heads of States (HoS), Young change makers, policy makers, industry leaders, development partners, various bilateral and multilateral organizations, civil society, artists, football players, and other high profile dignitaries are expected to take part in this year’s summit.

The purpose of the summit is to provide the Youth across African countries and beyond a platform to connect, discuss, share knowledge and experiences with the aim of empowering them for socio-economic transformation.

Youths between the ages of 16 and 30 totaling to 300 in number for the first day (13th October) and 100 on the second and third day (14th and 15th October, 2022) are to be nominated by the institution to take part in the summit after sending in their Full names, ID/Passport number, E-mail address, and valid phone number as requirements for participation.

Organizing and Hosting the event is; The Government of Rwanda in partnership with YouthConnekt Africa Hub, UNDP, among others and Topics to be discussed include; Climate resilience and Adaptation, Improvement of Agricultural productivity, Connecting Africa’s talent to the Global digital economy, etc.
