Ethan Bradley – The lucky charm of Old Trafford

Manchester United fans believe they’ve found their good-luck charm — and it’s not on the pitch, but in the stands. Ethan Bradley, a lifelong United supporter, has captured hearts and headlines after vowing not to cut his hair until the team wins five games in a row.

The superstition began after United’s thrilling 4–2 victory over Brentford, which marked their third consecutive win under manager Rúben Amorim. For many fans, the win felt like a turning point — a sign that the team’s fighting spirit was returning. But for Ethan, it also meant his playful challenge was suddenly becoming serious.

So far, United have won three consecutive matches, and Ethan’s growing afro, now nicknamed the “Old Trafford Jungle,” has become a symbol of hope and humor among fans. On matchdays, supporters gather to take photos with him, patting his hair for luck before kickoff.

“It started as a joke,” Ethan admits. “Now everyone thinks my hair is magic I just hope we keep winning so it’s worth it!”

With Manchester United showing signs of resurgence under Amorim, Ethan’s playful superstition has turned into a beloved tradition. Whether coincidence or charm, one thing’s for sure: as long as the victories don’t keep coming, Ethan’s hair will keep growing.
